Week 4 — 9 July 2021
Deep rabbit hole warning here! It's been around for a while, but Nitch is an endless scroll of effortlessly cool images, featuring inspirational people, saying epically insightful things. It's enlightening, uplifting and motivating, without a ‘live, love, laugh’ in sight.
To TikTok or not? ➜
It's a question we're asked with some regularity. With over 800 million worldwide users it unquestionably offers access to new and younger audiences for most brand marketers. There's some useful advice on content types here, but we'd also add, should you take to TikTok, don't be the suit in a room full of creatives.
We like Hike ➜
SEO has a reputation for being one of the darker digital arts. For anyone, who's not a seasoned pro, just dipping a toe is likely to induce mental submission, with things becoming suffocatingly complicated, unexpectedly quickly. So here's a friendly and affordable little platform called Hike, which makes managing SEO surprisingly simple.
What are Content Experiences? ➜
We'll let Foleon explain this one. Here they share 6 types. And who is Foleon? Well, imagine taking a website and a PDF magazine and some videos and a pestle and mortar. Grind them all together and then bake them in an online oven and Foleon (a Foleon?) is what you end up with. Interactive, immersive online publications. Just jokes about the oven though, yeah.
Gain some (vari) focus ➜
We're big fans of this intelligent branding for an ingenious product. Morrow, using an ultra fine layer of LED's, has created spectacle lenses which can provide prescription level variable focus at the click of a button. So now there's no need for two sets of bins old timers. Checkland Kindleysides crushing the branding, but the style of the specs themselves might be a bit too Creative Director – even for us!
BICEP ➜
Isles
With the Warehouse Project's 12 week Manchester takeover (please god, Covid permitting) incoming, tickets for Bicep have been secured. Warming ourselves up with this beaut!
RÓISÍN MURPHY ➜
Crooked Machine
Some sublime remixes of the dance floor queens Róisín Machine. Intimate, edgy and best served at afterparty temperature.
If you only click one thing...

Still something of a work in progress but it's the most inventive everyday use of AI / Neural networks we've seen.
