Week 17 — 8 October 2021

We regret, but do understand, that not every job warrants the input of an agency or a designer. Yet we often hear clients bemoaning their in-house documents and reports for being so badly undesigned. Well, a good starting point in fixing that, is to improve the in-house team's typography chops. And there are far worse places you could start than these 5 fundamentals from American typographer, Matthew Butterick.

Hope for better. ➜

It's been a time these last couple of years hasn't it? A societal Pandora’s Box... Pandemic. Racial injustice. Social inequality. Geopolitical interference. Climate change. "How the hell are we gonna get through this?" we've all been exhaustedly thinking. This research report from Ogilvy highlights six shifts in culture over that time and reflects the power of hope in inspiring brands and people to impact the world positively.

Out of stock ➜

If you've tried to order, well, pretty much anything recently, there's a good chance Tom Fishburne's most recent cartoon of the week will resonate. As ever, Marketoonist is bang on the money. If you're in any way into marketing and don't already follow him, hunt him out on socials and bring his eagle-eyed insight and inspired illustrations direct to your door.

It's YOUR data. Reclaim it. ➜

Your personal data. You know you own it, but over the years you may have been free and easy with it. Would you know who you've shared it with, or what they've then done with it? Well, Mine empowers people to reclaim their personal data from those they no longer wish to have it. A quick set up shows the size of your digital footprint and the companies who have currently have access to your info. Then, the best bit, with two clicks (and some neat back-end email automation) you can immediately reclaim it. Power to the people!
